In response to the final rule signed today by the Environmental Protection Agency regarding its Risk Management Program under the Clean Air Act, Global Energy Institute President Marty Durbin issued the following statement:
"The U.S. Chamber applauds EPA for strengthening the Risk Management Program to provide the safety and security necessary for facilities, employees, and the communities in which they operate. Our members employ risk management planning, invest in security enhancements, and work to foster a continued and constructive partnership with federal, state, and local officials. Today’s rule will help strengthen those partnerships, while providing more consistency with risk management requirements established by other federal programs."
