• U.S. Chamber Letter Supporting the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology Markup of the “ARPA-E Reauthorization Act of 2019”

Letters
October 17, 2019

Dear Chairwoman Johnson and Ranking Member Lucas: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce applauds your bipartisan leadership on energy issues and writes in support of tomorrow’s full committee markup of H.R. 4091, the “ARPA-E Reauthorization Act of 2019.”

This legislation would authorize a substantial increase in funding for the Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E) through fiscal year 2024. The Chamber has long supported ARPA-E and its mission to catalyze transformational energy technologies to enhance the economic and energy security of the United States. Over the years, the agency has continued to demonstrate a record of strong management and successful grants for high-potential, high-impact energy projects that are too early for private investment.
