November 16, 2021

Marty Durbin, Senior Vice President of Policy at the U.S. Chamber, issued the following statement in response to the White House's submission of the Kigali Amendment to the U.S. Senate:

“We’re pleased the Biden Administration has submitted the Kigali Amendment to the Senate and we urge quick ratification. American businesses are poised to maintain their leadership in helping transition the world from hydrofluorocarbons to lower emissions technologies, providing a significant climate benefit. The Kigali Amendment will build upon bipartisan legislation to phase down HFCs by opening up access to global markets for U.S. companies, creating jobs and strengthening competitiveness.”
