The growing need for more energy in the United States continues. The Keystone XL Pipeline will bring oil from Canada into theUnited States and will create new jobs in manufacturing, and construction, as well as permanent jobs at American refineries throughout the Midwest.

Any further delay to the construction of the pipeline will force TransCanada to make a decision about whether to continue pursuing building a pipeline in the United States and will impact how soon Canada will look to sell their oil to other nations like India or China.

There was strong support at the Keystone XL Pipeline hearing on December 4th in Albion, that we must begin construction on this pipeline as soon as possible. In order for our economy to recover and grow, America needs a supply of energy which will meet our current needs and future expansion. Without any creative plans to secure access to long-term, stable energy supplies, our economy’s growth will be restricted.
