Kentucky lawmakers file brief in EPA regulations case

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The seven Republican members of Kentucky's congressional delegation Monday became part of a Supreme Court case regarding environmental regulations on coal-fired power plants.
 
Kentucky's senior senator, Mitch McConnell, filed the amicus - or "friends of the court" - brief, arguing the Environmental Protection Agency overstepped its authority in tightening limits on power plant emissions.

Several groups, including the US Chamber of Commerce, challenged the ruling. Now the high court will hear their arguments next year.
