Energy development on the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) has served as a stable and predictable backbone for America's energy security. While domestic energy production is always going to be intertwined with global market conditions, the stability of our offshore production has frequently insulated the U.S. economy against supply disruptions and market swings.

We strongly urge BOEM to ultimately include lease sales in the Mid-Atlantic, South Atlantic, Eastern Gulf of Mexico, the Chuckchi Sea, and Beaufort Sea Planning Areas, in addition to the continued and expanded access in the Western and Central Gulf of Mexico planning areas. Doing so will ensure a stable and precictable domestic energy supply and secure America's energy future.
